Brief History of the University
JETS was established in 1980 by the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Jos, Nigeria. Its primary mission was to provide advanced theological education and training for pastors, missionaries, and church leaders within the ECWA denomination and beyond. The seminary was founded to address the growing need for well-equipped, biblically grounded leaders who could effectively serve the church and contribute to the spread of the gospel.
Over the years, JETS has expanded its programs to offer degrees in theology, pastoral studies, missions, Christian education, and other ministry-related fields. It has grown into one of the most respected theological institutions in West Africa, known for its academic rigor, commitment to spiritual formation, and emphasis on practical ministry skills.JETS continues to play a significant role in equipping leaders for both local and global ministry, staying true to its mission of integrating academic excellence with spiritual and ministry development.
